Stand out from the crowd and be industry ready with Front Cooking School’s renowned work-based training program.
Our students acquire vital skills and knowledge about working in the food and hospitality industry by gaining hands-on experience in a real workplace kitchen environment. You’ll get to practise skills you learnt in the classroom, learn new skills, and have the opportunity to ask questions from people on the frontline of business.
A mix of competency based training, seminars, and work placement will give you a competitive edge in your career, and you’ll make valuable contacts and build long-term relationships in Melbourne’s thriving restaurant scene as you go.
Front Cooking School also offers weekly job seminars and assistance with job placement (part-time, casual and voluntary), preparing a standout resume, refining your interview technique and maintaining a work-based training logbook (Stage 4 – Work Effectively as a Cook).
Work-based training is an integral part of Front Cooking School’s operations and we work with all students every step of the way to provide a valuable and rewarding experience for everyone.
